Leyton Cassidy is a New York based writer, comedian, producer and mental health worker. She works at The Columbia Journal as the podcast co-editor and the archivist. She is currently at Columbia University studying creative non-fiction writing and will graduate with her Master's degree in Fall 2021. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence in 2016, with a degree in Literature and Theatre. She has worked in for many television shows around New York, including: Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Sesame Street, The ID Channel, The Break with Michelle Wolf, and others.
She works as a producer on the podcast Gay Future and creator of the short lived, but still great podcast Classic's Bitch. She has performed stand-up at The Pit, Upright Citizen's Brigade,
She lives in Manhattan with her cat and her girlfriend. She loves rock climbing, tattoos and cereal.
